Putin Saw the Real Election Interference, By Charles Taylor (Florida)

Following his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday, President Trump gave an interview to Sean Hannity, disclosing comments made by Putin. According to Trump, Putin claimed he won the 2020 election, stating that mail-in voting was the reason for a "rigged" election.

During the interview, Trump stated that Putin told him, "Your election was rigged because you have mail-in voting. He said, mail-in voting every election. He said no country has mail in voting. It's impossible to have mail in voting and have honest elections." Trump also said that Putin asserted he won the 2020 election "by so much" and that if he had won, there would have been no war in Ukraine.

Trump also invoked a 2005 report co-chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker, saying the committee concluded that mail-in voting should not be used. However, fact-checking organisations have noted that while the report expressed concerns about mail-in voting's potential for fraud, it did not recommend eliminating it. Instead, the report called for further study and recommended security improvements. So, Trump needs to get busy on this one.

The summit between Trump and Putin did not result in a formal agreement to end the war in Ukraine, though both leaders described the talks as productive. Trump rated the meeting a "10" and said he would be open to meeting Putin again, with Putin suggesting a future meeting in Moscow.

And, he said if you won we wouldn't have had a war. You'd have all of these millions of people alive now instead their dead… And he said, you lost it because of mail in voting. It was a rigged election…

…But Sean I know the answer is that Jimmy Carter, years ago, along with Scoop Jackson and some others, they had a committee. Respected people, Jimmy Carter, a good guy. He was a good man. And the conclusion is you can't have mail-in voting. We have mail-in voting. It's so dishonest. They send stuff. Some people get seven ballots. Look at California with that horrible governor they have. One of the worst governors in history. He's incompetent. He doesn't know what he's doing. They send out like 38 million ballots. Some people get five, six, seven. But Vladimir Putin, smart guy, says you can't have an honest election with mail-in voting. And he said there's not a country in the world that uses it now."

Sean Hannity: I would love to see election reform.

President Trump: We have to do it. I don't know why we're not doing it.

Trump went on to explain that we MUST have reforms to our election.

This must have made Democrat heads explode across the US. If Democrats don't have mail-in voting they are at risk of losing possibly a third of their votes in some states!

Trump wouldn't have spent 5 minutes talking about election reform if he wasn't serious!"
