We in South Australia are getting our first taste of life under the Labor regime, hard labour at that, not that the Liberals were any better on anything. I was just getting this article on perhaps the next Big Thing, monkeypox, and whoa, in my news feed or whatever it is in the irritating right hand corner of the screen, up comes an article telling me that monkeypox, now seen in the US and Europe is here in Oz. What is interesting is that this disease is usually found in Africa, and comes to the West from migrants, but there are cases where people get the disease, but have no African connection at all. So, what is going on here? Has this one, perhaps a genetically modified version, also “escaped” from a bioweapons lab? And with bird flu doing the rounds again, what one, or two will be used as the next battering ram for the New World Order?

I did not know about the “dirty smoker’s paradox,” until reading from the article, extracts below. There is controversial evidence that smokers are at a lower risk from Covid than non-smokers. In one Israeli study, smokers were only around half as likely as others to get infected by SARS-CoV-2. Why might this be? One hypothesis is that nicotine could disrupt the spike glycoprotein interaction with some receptors functioning in the infection process. However, here is also evidence that smoking can weaken the lung’s defences, and lead to stronger than normal Covid infection. Overall, my guess is that while there could be some very short-term protection from smoking, over the longer term this disappears, so it is best not to be smoking at all, let alone considering the other health risks, and the great financial costs.

In Scotland, and other places, there has been what the media is calling a mysterious surge in the deaths of new born babies. The neonatal mortality rate was 5.1 per 1,000 live births in September 2021 and 4.6 per 1,000 in March 2022, against an average of 1.49 per 1000 in 2019, which is highly statistically significant, and Public Health Scotland (PHS) said the deaths could not have been down to chance. So, what has done it? One obvious possible cause is the Covid vaxxes, and the spike has occurred within Covid territory, so this would be a logical place to start any investigation.
