In our enlightened age, nothing is safe from the long arm of gender theory — not sports, not biology, not language, and apparently not even electrical circuits. The instruction is clear: "remember to connect male to female in the circuits." Basic electronics 101. Plugs have pins, sockets have holes. One inserts into the other. Polarity and physics don't care about your feelings. But wait — why are we assigning such rigid, oppressive gender roles to inanimate objects? Why not let the circuits decide their own orientation?

If gender is a social construct and completely fluid, then surely a USB-C connector shouldn't be forced into a binary "male" or "female" designation. Perhaps today it feels like inserting, tomorrow it might identify as receiving. Maybe it's non-binary and prefers a gender-neutral adapter. Perhaps the entire wiring harness is pan-sexual and demands the right to connect however it feels in the moment. Forcing a male pin into a female socket without explicit, ongoing consent is clearly an act of electronic violence.
Engineers who stubbornly insist on "male-to-female" connections are guilty of outdated heteronormative circuit theory. We must decolonise electronics. We need new inclusive terminology: "inserting-end" and "receiving-end" are problematic. Better to use "donor port" and "receptive port," or perhaps let each component self-identify with a little rainbow sticker. Training programs for electricians must now include modules on affirming a wire's lived experience and preferred connection style.
The absurdity writes itself. Electricity doesn't care about your ideology. Electrons flow according to the laws of physics, not the latest pronoun guide from progressive HR departments. A circuit either works or it doesn't. There is no spectrum between functioning and non-functioning. No safe space for a confused resistor. Reality enforces binary outcomes whether you like it or not.
This is the perfect microcosm of where gender ideology inevitably leads: the colonisation of every domain of human knowledge and practice. Nothing is allowed to simply be functional and clear. Everything must be bent to serve the new sacred narrative. Biology, evolution, and basic anatomy get the same treatment, "sex is a spectrum" applied to everything, no matter how ridiculous. When you start with the denial of material reality in humans, it's only a matter of time before you're lecturing sparks about their fluid orientation.
The joke, of course, is that electronics engineers don't have time for this nonsense. They work in a world where objective reality bites back hard. Get the polarity wrong and your device doesn't turn on. Get gender ideology wrong in the real world and entire societies start failing in slower, more painful ways, but the principle is the same. Some things have natural design and purpose. Denying that doesn't make you compassionate or progressive. It makes you wilfully blind.
So, the next time someone tells you to "connect male to female" in a circuit, resist the urge to ask the cable how it identifies. The wire doesn't need your validation. It needs a proper connection. Some binaries aren't oppressive they're just how the universe works.
We can keep pretending that objective reality is negotiable, or we can admit that not everything benefits from being "queered." Electricity, like sex, like truth, has never been particularly interested in our ideological fashions. It simply demands we get it right.
